Nathan Tice (full name Nathaniel Merle LeRoy Tice, named after his two grandfathers) was born on Christmas Day in 1974 in Provo, UT. He passed away peacefully at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT on Sunday, December 18, 2022 shortly after his parents were singing hymns to him.
He is survived by his siblings, Andrew Tice (Lyman SC); Kiersten Bliss (El Dorado Hills, CA); Philip Tice (Colorado Springs, CO); Matthew Tice (Troy, AL); Jakob Tice (Springville, UT); Heidi Anderson (Murray, UT) and Joseph Tice (Burke, VA); by his parents Christopher and LaDawn Tice of Pocatello, ID; and his ex-wife, Andrea Tice, and their children Caleb (20), Cora (18), Gideon (16), Evangeline (13), Hyrum (8) and Adeline (6) all of Rexburg, ID.
He was a friend to everyone and truly loved God and his fellowmen. He will be truly missed, but not forgotten. God granted him the time to say good-bye to his extensive family, despite the distance that separated them. His last days at the Huntsman hospital were difficult, but filled with caring doctors, nurses, and staff who tried valiantly to save his life. Thank you to them. We look forward to the time we will be able to see Nathan again in a resurrected body and as part of our eternal family.
He will be interred in Sandy, UT where there will be a graveside service on Thursday, December 22nd and a memorial service on January 4th in Pocatello, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in his name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
