Harry C. Bloom

Harry Carl Bloom, Jr. passed away quietly at his home on June 26th, 2015 at the age of 61.

He had been battling cancer for many years and finally lost the fight. He married Sandy Rainey in July 1981. They lived in Pocatello for a short time and then moved to Inkom, ID. They later divorced in 1997.

Throughout the years he worked at Pameco Air, Bannock Memorial Hospital, and ISU in maintenance. He also worked as a licensed electrician and taxicab driver. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He loved animals and enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed playing cribbage and other card games. He found joy in helping people. One might say he had "stray people" syndrome. He brought many people into his home and life while trying to help them.

He is survived by his longtime companion Cathy Whitmer; step-sisters Pat Christensen and Lynn Farmer.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
