Wilma Lucena Wheeler

Wilma Lucena Wheeler, 81, of Boise and formerly of Pocatello, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Boise, Idaho.

She lived in Pocatello most of her life and later moved to Boise to be near her son, Randy and his wife, Roxane Wheeler who helped care for her.

She was born Sept. 14, 1928, the daughter of Samuel Franklin and Mary Magdalene Jones Andrew in Onyx, Idaho. She attended schools in McCammon.

She married R.L. (Bus) Wheeler on Jan. 31, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho. Bus passed away on Sept. 13, 1990.

She enjoyed bowling and participating in the Pocatello Ladies League. She also enjoyed bead working, crocheting and family outings. She never knew a stranger. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Gerald (Kathryn) Wheeler, Sherwood,Arkansas; Randy (Roxane) Wheeler, Boise, Idaho; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents , husband, 7 brothers, 2 sisters.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
