Veldon (Bob) Robinson

Born 05-13-32 in Salt Lake City UT to Grace and Leo Robinson.

Served in the US Army from 10-49 to 01-53.

Married Dora Knoblick January 24th, 1954.  Aunt Dora passed in 1998.

Retired from EIMCO as a mining machine foreman and job site expert.

Resided in Salt Lake City, UT.  When Uncle Bob retired, he and Aunt Dora moved to Chubbuck, ID.  To fill in his free time, Uncle Bob played cards with friends, fished at Medicare Beach and drove bus in Chubbuck.

Preceded in death by all immediate family and many loving dogs!

Survived by nieces and nephews scatted throughout the western US who will miss their pleasantly grumpy uncle. Once you knew Uncle Bob, you knew he had a heart of gold and the grumpiness was for show.

The family wants to give sincere appreciation to Susan and J.R Grover.  No matter how many times we asked Uncle Bob to move back to Salt Lake City, he just did not want to leave his home.  Susan and J.R. were his family.  We also wish to express deep gratitude to ENCOMPASS and the caregivers who took such both a personal and professional interest in caring for our Uncle Bob.

The family will meet with friends Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 11:00 am until 11:30 am at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho prior to graveside services in the Falls View Cemetery in American Falls, Idaho at 12:00 Noon with Military Rites provided by the American Falls Legion Post 3.
