Tami Lee Smith Williams passed away at her home on August 23, 2017. Her husband, Lyndon;
her Mom; and Callie, her faithful and loving dog, were at Tami’s side when she started her new
journey to meet Heavenly Father and all her loved ones who have already passed.
Tami was raised in Salmon, Idaho, and graduated with the class of 1992. Her dad was a radio
announcer on KSRA, which led to Tami's unique high school job as a radio announcer. Tami
went to ISU and graduated with certificates in accounting and medical transcription. After
college, Tami applied for a job as a Clerk at the Federal Courthouse and has been a valued
employee ever since. She loved her job, her coworkers, and all the people she came into
contact with at the courthouse.
Tami met her husband, Lyndon, at a singles’ event in Pocatello. Tami and Lyndon fell madly in
love at first sight. They were married in September 1999, and she loved being a step-mom to
Dareck and Channel.
Tami enjoyed traveling, camping, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and attending plays --
especially at the Pickleville Playhouse. Tami truly lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed
chatting with friends, listening to music, and spending time with family. Anyone who knew
Tami knew how much she loved her grandchildren - to the moon and back! She loved spoiling
them rotten. Her face would always beam whenever she talked about them.
In July of 2016, Tami was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumor. Tami showed
strength, bravery, and determination as she fought her battle with cancer enduring doctor’s
appointments and treatments. Tami was a shining example of what the power of a positive
attitude can do when walking through life's toughest trials.
Tami leaves behind her loving husband, Lyndon; step-children Dareck (Brittany) Williams and
Channel Williams (Levi Dustin); grandchildren Drake, Milly, and River; mother and step-dad,
Joyce and John Arbuckle; brothers and sister Ron Smith, and Wendy Hollist, and Doug Smith;
and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tami is preceded in death by her father, Blair Smith, and her grandparents.
The family thanks everyone - EVERYONE - family, friends, coworkers, medical staff,
neighbors, and the Highland 1st Ward and Stake for all prayers, names in the LDS Temples,
food, flowers, and cards. And many thanks for the care and compassion shown by the Portneuf
Cancer Center, and the Portneuf MRI department. Also, thank you to Access Home Medical
and Hospice who helped take care of Tami and her family. All the love and support meant a
great deal to Tami and her family.
Services will be held at 11am Monday Aug. 28, 2017 at the Highland LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends on Sunday Aug. 27, 2017 from 6-8pm at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel (510 N. 12th Ave.) and on Monday 1 hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will follow in the Montpelier City Cemetery at 3pm.
