Steven Michael Smith (49), affectionately known as Little Steve or Michael by his close family, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024 at Blackrock Canyon, Idaho while trying to recover an ATV. Steve resided in Pocatello, Idaho for several years after moving from his home town of Winter Haven, FL.
Steve had a lifelong enthusiasm for motorcycles which began after his father bought him his first Suzuki RM80 at the age of 9 years old. His fascination and passion for motorcycles helped fuel his desire to open an Auto/Motorcycle repair shop with his loving partner Amy Jagneaux titled A.S.S. Repair, LLC (Amy & Steve Smith Repair). He and Amy enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, The Salt Flats in Utah and riding motorcycles both on and off road. Steve later went on to work at J.R. Simplot Fertilizer Co. where he was training as a Phos. Acid Operator.
Steve was known by many to have a huge loving heart and knew no strangers. Steve leaves a legacy of helping others, “he was always there for everyone”. He was adventurous and lived life as if the world was his own personal playground. If he could ride it he would hot rod it.
Steve had a large community of family and friends in Idaho and Florida that loved him immensely. Our lives are forever changed with his passing and his presence in this world is a great and deep loss.
Steve is survived by his best friend and wife, Amy Jagneaux, his children Bryan (Jacqueline) Davis, Markus (Salem) Olver, Melannie Smith and Mekenzie Smith.
He is also survived by his father Steven (Tracie) Smith, siblings Brandon Smith and Brittney (Tim) Smith, grandmothers Martha Smith and Jane Snow, along with his stepchildren Billy and Daysha Cozia.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother Wanda (Tony) Zalone, his sister Melissa (Michael) Thompson, nephew and nieces Alan Smith, Tori Thompson and Cori Thompson. Grandfathers Dempsie Smith and Charlie Snow.
“Steve you are sorely missed by many friends and family. Rest in peace son, we’ll see you later.”
We would also like to extend an extra special thank you to Erick Ellis for keeping watch over Steve through the long night.
“Helmets and Harnesses, ropes and carabiners. Steve you are in good hands and I am by your side on your last trip out of the hills you so love to ride.”
