Steve E. Taylor
Pocatello - Steve Edward Taylor Sr., 78, lifelong resident of Pocatello, passed away peacefully at his home Monday morning, March 24, 2008 following an extended illness. He was born September 25, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of George and Leona Cottrell Taylor.
He attended schools in Pocatello. He married Betty Jean Toomey on September 25, 1946 in Lima, Montana.
He worked as an electrician during his working years retiring in 1991. He worked on many jobs locally, however much of his working years were at the INL. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. local in Pocatello. He loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors and most of all spending time with his family. He also liked bowling and bowled in three leagues at one time. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
Steve is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Taylor, of Pocatello, Idaho; three sons, Steve (Debora) Taylor Jr., Inkom, Idaho; Mark (Kim) Taylor, Chubbuck, Idaho; Glen (Jan) Taylor, South Jordan, Utah; two daughters, Leslie (Richard) Henry, Pocatello, Idaho; Becky (Bruce) Bates, Blackfoot, Idaho; two sisters, Mabel Taylor,Pocatello, Idaho; Bonnie (Joe) Bolton, Redding, California; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Glen Taylor and Verle Taylor
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11.00 a.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. with Bishop Rod Johnson, of the Cedar Second Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Robin Cemetery, Robin, Idaho.
