Ruth Elizabeth Clark

Ruth was born to Christian and Emma Delzer on June 18, 1932, in Sacramento California. Ruth was the youngest of six children: Alvin, Bob, Evelyn, Ester, Laura, and Ruth. Her mother had a vision of a Christian Mission and found Fort Hall Idaho on a map and was spiritually directed to move her family there in 1939. The Delzers moved to Pocatello two years later. Ruth married Verl Neider on February 5,1951. Together they had three sons; Deven, Robbie, and Kory. Ruth and Verl separated in 1969.

Ruth married Jack Thomas Clark in 1972. She embraced Jack’s children as her own; Jeff Clark (Brenda), Jan Brummer (Jay), Jill Thompson (Rick), and Julie Buttars (Lance). Ruth has 9 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren from the Neider side, and 22 grandchildren and 34 greatgrandchildren from the Clark side.

Ruth was the youngest of six and was known to be her mother’s favorite. She loved to visit in the kitchen with her mother and loved to be with her. She was very close to all of her siblings and loved her travels with her sister Laura (Bob) Dunbar.

In the early 70s Ruth was an excellent saleswoman working for Chad’s Furniture in Pocatello. She was frequently the number one salesperson for the month. After their marriage in 1973, Jack purchased Molinelli Jewelers. Jack owned and operated the store with Ruth by his side. The store was sold 2005 to Jack’s daughter Julie and her husband Lance. Jack blessed and had a significant impact on the Neiders. Jack passed away in 2007, and Ruth chose to remain alone afterwards.

During the 90’s, Ruth worked at a mortuary as an assistant--a position that she loved and talked about frequently. In the early 2000s she was a Judge’s Advocate; advising on child welfare and housing. Ruth was an exceptional organist and pianist; she played both the organ and piano in church Temple for about 15 years. She was also an organist at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She sang with The Sweet Adelines-- performing for Assisted Living centers and various occasions. She did so many acts of service that we know nothing about. Ruth strived to have a positive mental attitude in life and has influenced many people.

Ruth is a very loving and kind woman! She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and she focused on everything that was good, “virtuous and lovely”. She loved her family and friends deeply, and they loved her to pieces. She never thought she was too good for anyone. She had Austin Royale to our home multiple times and helped him where she could. She rarely complained. Some people experienced the wrath of Ruth (came with her bloodline), but she Never meant any harm to anyone. If anything, down deep she had the love of our Savior for family, friends, and strangers.

Almost everyone that knew Ruth felt she was their best friend—so forgive us to leave you out! We are grateful for those who blessed Ruthie’s life! Our brother--Jeff Clark—always kindly helping. Evelyn Morin was Ruth’s caretaker the last few years of her life--she was focused like a Hawk on her needs. Janice Koyle was her guardian angel. Jack Clark’ family, Gene Lillenquist, Marv & Susan White, Brian Barker, Jolene Mecham, Karen Doggett, Janet, all those who helped with my mother’s funeral, and each of you that knew her so well and blessed her—thank you with all our hearts!  She is survived by Deven Neider (Vickie Howell) and Kory Neider (Margo Hunt).
