Tyhee - Ruphenia Grey Bullock, 92. longtime resident of Pocatello and Tyhee, and wife of the late Milton Eugene Bullock, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Willows Assisted Living Center in Blackfoot from causes incident to age.
She was born November 5, 1915 in Robin, Idaho, a daughter of George Washington and Etta Francis Woodson Lawrence Armstrong. As a young girl, she attended schools in Robin and graduated from Arimo High School. She moved to Pocatello in 1936. On November 26, 1938, she married Milton Eugene Bullock in Pocatello. He passed away June 30, 2000.
She worked at Hoppers Dairy Queen for several years, McKinzie Auto Parts and then for Hudson Shoe Store for 32 years. She was a convert to the L.D.S. Church and was baptized in 1964. She enjoyed traveling and had taken trips to Alaska, New Zealand, Canada and all over Idaho. She had also made a trip to visit her ancestral home in Richmond, Virginia. She greatly enjoyed family gatherings and being with her children and grandchildren who were her greatest joy.
Survivors include: two sons, Randall E. (Annie) Bullock, Pocatello, Idaho; Milton George Bullock, Idaho Falls, Idaho; a daughter, Sharon B. (Gary) Elison, Moreland, Idaho; a sister, Roberta Powers, Pocatello, Idaho; 18 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 brothers, 4 sisters and 2 grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the 37th/44th Ward Chapel on Hwy 91 N. with Richard Watt, former Bishop of the Tyhee Seventh Ward officiating. Interment will be in the Mountainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
