Dr. Ruby Marie Glick Kinghorn Shawnee, KS. - Dr. Ruby Marie Glick Kinghorn, formerly of Idaho, died at home on September 7, 2010, surrounded by her family. Ruby was born on July 4, 1917 in Covington, Kentucky and lived in Idaho most of her childhood. She graduated from Idaho State University and later earned her Ph.D. at Brigham Young University. She worked as a teacher and educational psycohologist in Los Angeles, CA.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Delmont Kinghorn, a 4-year old son, two infant sons and one infant granddaughter. She leaves four children, Dennis Kinghorn, Chris Kinghorn and Karla Morris, all of Shawnee, Kanas and Marie Plum of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-granddaughters.
Ruby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission for the church. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Lenexa, Kansas. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 with graveside services following at 2:00 p.m. at Mountainview Cemetery (Section 33 West).
