Ronald Reed Losser

Ron passed away February 15, 2025 at the age of 75. Ron was born July 16, 1949 in Salt LakeCity, Utah to Mack Reed Losser and Joyce Jensen. They moved to Ogden when Ron was five and he attended school at Horace Mann Elementary and later Highland Junior High School.

In 1963 the family moved to Pocatello where he attended Alameda Junior High and graduated from Highland High School. Ron loved sports: basketball, baseball, skiing, and golf. He was good at all of them.

In 1968 he married Kathy Newell. They were blessed with three children: Traci, Jamie, and Ronnie. They divorced in 1975.

Ron married Marsha Waylett Grow in 1978, which added Shane and Erica to the family. Ron would say raising these five kids was his greatest accomplishment. He also said that marrying Marsha was the best thing that happened in his life.

Ron’s working career started at U and I Sugar while in high school. After graduation he was employed at Lamb Weston for 6 years. The next 20 years he worked at Garrett Freight Lines.

Ron enjoyed being in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a talented woodworker, landscaper, and gardener. He was a wonderful neighbor always quietly providing service to others.

He leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ron is proceeded in death by his mother, Joyce Losser. Ron is survived by his father Mack Losser, sisters Debbie (Jerry) Myers, Julie (Marvin) Reynolds, Casie (Jeff) Spears, wife Marsha, children Traci (Greg) Hubit, Shane (Jaymie) Grow, Jamie (Nick) Carter, Erica (Mike) Sutton, and Ronnie Losser.

Services will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pocatello Stake Center at 655 S. Grant Ave., Pocatello Idaho on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11am with a viewing at 10am.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Manning-Wheatley Funeral Home in Pocatello.
