Rodney John Lepper Sr, 63, of Pocatello, ID, passed away after his battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer on 02/22/2025 with his wife Pamela Perna and daughter Sarah Lepper by his side. Rod was born on 12/14/1961 in Salt Lake City, UT, the son of Charles Lepper and Janice Cochrane.
Rod worked in construction with a lengthy career of 45 years. Rod was a very hard working man that contributed to a vast number of buildings throughout his career in the Salt Lake, Pocatello and Idaho Falls areas just to name a few. He started his own business named Hot Rod Construction in 2021 and retired in 2023. Rod had a true talent for construction. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix.
Rod loved fishing, football (his favorite team was the Denver Broncos), old school cartoons, old western shows, his family and his dogs. Rod loved collecting coins and driving into the hills and mountains searching for rare gems and rocks. Rod had the most unique contagious laugh. One that cannot be replaced or replicated.
Remaining to cherish Rod’s memory is his mother Janice Cochrane. Wife Pamela Perna. Children, Amelia (Pat) Aleki, Rodney (Marissa) Lepper Jr and Sarah (Ben) Lepper. Step children Mallory Perna, Kristina (Nathan) Maravilla, Samantha Perna and JP Perna. Brother Robert (Jeanette) Lepper. Sister Rhonda (George) Claybaugh. Nieces, many grandchildren and lastly his beloved dog Addie. Preceding Rod in death is his father Charles Lepper and beloved dog Tiny.
Rod’s Celebration of life will be held Saturday 03/15/2025 from 3:15pm-6:00pm at Sagebrush Studio and Event Space. Location address: 800 Park Ave, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. We will be having a potluck so please bring something to share.
