Robert "Bob" Lynn Larsen Robert (Bob) Larsen 62, passed away suddenly after a stroke. He was surrounded by his loving family and died peacefully in Pocatello, Idaho on June 12, 2008.

Bob was born July 13, 1945 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to John Bernard Larsen and Wanda Kelly Larsen. He attended grade school in Shelly and high school at Idaho Falls High School. He was active in high school wrestling and loved to build hot rods. During high school, he met the love of his life Julie Ann Hancock in Rigby, Idaho. They were married on August 27, 1965 in Garfield, Idaho. They would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary this year. They moved to Pocatello in 1967 where he attended school to become a machinist. He received his degree from the ISU Vo-Tech College and began working for the J.R. Simplot Company on Oct. 6, 1968. He loved creating complex parts from metal. He had an amazing ability to create almost anything with a lathe. Bob was employed by Simplot until his retirement in 1998. At Simplot he was active in the Rod and Gun Club, the Diamond Back Motorcycle Club and was the Secretary of the OCAW Union for many years. Bob and Julie raised 3 wonderful Children.

There was never any doubt how much Bob enjoyed life. He was extremely social and active. He loved to ride motorcycles and won numerous cross-country motorcycle races. His love for motorcycles and classic cars is a passion that is still enjoyed by his family. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling and playing pool with his friends. He also enjoyed the Idaho outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman in his earlier years. As time took its toll on his body from being so active, Bob gravitated to his new sport, Golf. Bob could be found on a golf course almost everyday of the year. He loved driving his Model T replica golf cart and cheering on his friends with his "ooga" horn.

Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known as the person you could do just about anything. His perseverance in legendary; BOBNDNO.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda and faithful canine companion, Panda.

Bob is survived by his father John, of Ucon, step-mother Jeanne, of Ucon, brother Ron of Ucon, brother Terry of Garfield, sister Sally Miles of Overton, NV, and three children, Monte (Julie) Larsen, Pocatello; Brett (Staci) Larsen, Los Lunas, NM; Racquel (Dave) Reniker, Thornton, CO. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Bob lived life to the fullest and was known for his ability to easily make friends. Bob loved to brag about his lovely bride and 3 great kids. His sense of humor will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central L.D.S. Stake Center, (225 Oakwood Drive) with Bishop Rod Johnson of the Cedar 2nd Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Grant Cemetery, Grant, Idaho at 3:30 p.m.
