Pocatello - Robert Lyn Butterfield, 54, passed away Monday June 27, 2011 from injuries sustained in a tree cutting accident near Idaho City in Boise County. Robert was born July 29, 1956 to Robert Leroy and LaWana Hadley Butterfield in Pocatello Idaho.
Robert attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School in 1974. He married Karen Wolf in Elko, Nevada on August 23, 1984. She fulfilled his lifelong dream of taking him to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin and he fulfilled her dream of having 2 beautiful children. "Mr. Green Jeans" loved gardening and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved playing Bingo and listening to Rock & Roll music. He enjoyed "Summer Deck Time" with his family and friends.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Karen Butterfield of Pocatello; his son, Carl Butterfield of Pocatello; his daughter, Amanda Butterfield of West Jordan, Utah; his 2 sisters, Terri (Michael) Lords, his twin and Karen Kay Butterfield, his younger sister, both of Pocatello; his father, Robert L. Butterfield of Pocatello and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 2, 2011 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel 510 N. 12th Ave. at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
