Richard “Dick” Peter Gregersen passed peacefully from this life the morning of September 13th after a gradual decline in health. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on December 13 1928 to Paul Lauriitz Gregersen and Violetta Margaret Jensen in the house he was living in until the time his illness made it impossible for him to live there alone.

Dick was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dick served in the Korean War from 1949 -1952, He drove tanks and trained other solders to operate the tanks.

When he came home he married Noramae Craig and they had three sons. Paul Richard, Scott Toliver, Craig Curtis. Dick and Noramae were later divorced.

Dick attend school in Pocatello from 1st grade – 12th grade. He also attended ISU studying in Air craft mechanic and graduating which led him to being air craft mechanic and maintenance inspector. While attending ISU he worked at the different theaters as a projectionist. He was one of the original projectionist working at the Chief Theater when it opened. He also worked at Sunset Drive In up until it closed.

Dick is survived by his three sons: Paul (Launa), Scott, Craig(Susan). Eleven grandchildren: Shannon Gough, Kory Gregersen, Justin Gregersen, Matt Gregersen, Erick Gregersen, Shantay Healey, Tyler Gregersen, Ross Gregersen, Ben Gregersen, Katrina Ronnburg Shaun Gregersen. Thirteen great grandchildren: And one great great grandchild on the way.  Dick was preceded in death by his Parents and his only sister Pauline Sinnot and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. 12th Ward Chapel (Fredregill & South 4th). The family will meet with friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
