Ralph Allen Jensen

Ralph Allen Jensen, 64, longtime resident of Humbolt and Mayer, Arizona passed away suddenly early Thursday morning August 11, 2011 while staying in their motor home while visiting family in Pocatello.

He was born November 11, 1946 in Prescott, Arizona a son of William Soren and Violet Mae Allen Jensen. He attended elementary school in Humbolt, Arizona and then Prescott High School graduating in 1964.

He worked in the heavy road construction industry most of his life and many years for Rummel Construction Company, retiring as a Superintendent in 2008. He liked hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling and traveling. He simply enjoyed the outdoors and wide open spaces of Arizona. He was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda S. Gates, Mayer, Arizona; a son, Sterling (Leslie) Jensen, Silver City, New Mexico; a daughter, Shelley (Clint) DeMoss, Spring Valley, Arizona; a brother, James Jensen, Humbolt, Arizona, a sister, Shirley Doil, Humbolt, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Shayleen, Kelli, Ash, Tyler, Trevor, and a great-granddaughter, Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Time: 12:00 Noon there will be a short program at 1:00 pm

Food: Sandwich fixins', lemonade and water furnished by the Relief Society of the Spring Valley Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Feel free to bring a dish or dessert if you wish!

The family will not provide any Adult Beverages; however feel free to bring the beverage of your choice and we will enjoy a toast in Ralph's honor.

Directions to the Bill Gates Ranch:

In Mayer there is a Circle K on the south side of Hwy 69, turn South off Hwy 69 go passed the Circle K; you will be on Central Ave go 0.2 mile to Miami St. Turn Left onto Miami and go 0.1 mile to Main St. Turn Right onto Main and go to Wicks Ave and then turn Left onto Wicks Ave and drive to STOP sign at Jefferson Ave (AKA Pine Flats Rd). Turn Left onto Jefferson and drive about 1.1 miles (you will cross a cattle guard at approx. 0.7 mile where the road becomes a dirt road. Continue straight on the dirt road for about 0.4 mile) to the BILL GATES RANCH and turn Right onto the property. Stay to the Right on the driveway past the house, and then follow signs to park in the pasture behind the Quonset barn, where the Celebration of Ralph's Life will be held.
