Ralph Ed Hite, 93, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at a local care center.
He was born June 9, 1920 in Bliss, Idaho the son of Henry and Twayla Thyer Hite. He attended schools in Bliss, Idaho.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He liked riding and rounding up wild horses on the desert when he was young.
He served in the Army during WWII in Europe as a truck driver
He married Floe Brown on June 1, 1948 in Elko, Nevada.
He worked as an Iron worker #Local 732 in Eastern Idaho on various construction projects including Interstate #15 and Interstate #86 from January 1, 1948 to August 1, 1983.
Ralph is survived by his wife Floe Hite; son, Ed Hite & Kathy Smith, Pocatello,Idaho; daughters, Connie (Rod) Robinson, Bluffdale, Utah; Saundra McGhee & John Kington, Pocatello, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Barbara Hite, Pocatello, Idaho; sisters, Rosie Lish, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrytle Lish, King Hill, Idaho. 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Neal Hite; 1 granddaughter, Tammi Hite; sisters, Blanch Tucker, Louise Newbern; one brother, Donald Hite.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N,. 12th Ave. and on Monday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. prior to graveside services.
Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
