Nichole Ellen Owens was born Nichole Ellen Anderson on March 1st, 1971 in Pocatello Idaho. She passed away on February 25th, 2025 surrounded by her loving husband and children after a long battle with multiple chronic illnesses.
She was raised in Tyhee. She then went on to primarily raise her children in Airmo, and Pocatello Idaho. She later moved to Boise with her husband and youngest child for some time before moving back to Pocatello to be closer to their families.
Nichole was a dedicated: daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse. She always freely gave her time, energy, and attention. Touching every person she met with her energetic nature. As well as never leaving anyone with an empty stomach. Her greatest joy in life was her family which she was very proud of.
Her passions in life centered around creativity, family, and the appreciation of the beauty and majesty of nature. Tumbling rocks, scavenging for rocks, and looking for precious stones were one of her favorite pastimes. She painstakingly made keep-sakes such as blankets, clothes, pillows, and other treasures for her family every year for Christmas just like her mother Ellen had for her children and grandchildren. She had a true love and appreciation for flowers and with her past florist experience she created all of her children's wedding flowers.
If you knew Nichole you know she LOVED the ocean and sand. She would ask her husband and family to take her to see the beach often and made sure to visit the ocean many times throughout her life. She made many amazing and wonderful memories over the years while visiting the ocean with her loved ones. Many trips were taken just because she missed the ocean and sand. Many would say that she was at her happiest with her loved ones, at the beach, or with her feet in the sand.
Though she spent many years fighting for her health and wellbeing. Her light rarely dimmed regardless of the chronic pain she endured. She always had a kind word, a piece of advice, a dose of reality, a funny remark, a smile, and a hug for those who needed it. Always ready for her next adventure, she never stopped moving forward. She Never lost hope and never slowed down. She lived as she was a strong-willed proud woman with lots of gumption who wouldn't take no as an answer. She lived a life full of hardship and love making her a beautifully unique woman full of sugar and spice. Cherished by many, she will be missed.
Nichole is predeceased by her parents, Karl Elwood Anderson and Ellen Chase Anderson. She is survived by her husband Gary Earl Owens. Her five children Zed, Savannah, Harmony, Amarae, and Cedar, and her two stepchildren Kelsey and Colton. As well as her fourteen grandchildren, and her siblings Kimberli, Brett, Bart, Kaleb, Joshua, and Kalyn; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
One of her favorite Scriptures was, "When we have rivers of our own to cross, remember prepare yourself for the lord will do wonders." Joshua 3:5
