At 81 years old Neva passed away with her family at her side.
She was born July 14, 1935 in Lava Hot Springs, Id. Her parents were Earl Frederick Bell and Sarah Vesta Jones Bell. She was the 7th of 10 children and she also had 3 older ½ siblings, 2 brothers and a sister.
Her early years were spent in Lava where she went 8 years to grade school and 2 years to High School and her last two high school years in McCammon when all the small town schools consolidated called North Marsh. At 10 years old she was an usherette at the local show house making $1.00 a week. Thru high school she worked as a waitress at Mom’s Café and at the Silver Grill.
She met her lifelong sweetheart, Tommy Wellard, while attending high school and after she graduated they were married May 28, 1953. She was a very dedicated, hard worker. She worked for Challenge Creamy for 18 years, Kraft Foods for 13 years and Heinz for 8 years.
They had 5 Children, Craig Wellard, Carla (Paul) Nestler, Terri Wright, Rusty Wellard (deceased) and Tracy (Debbie) Wellard.
They loved to go bowling, Square dancing, and travel. For their 25th anniversary they went to Hawaii and spent time on 5 islands. She was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. One of her favorite callings was being Librarian with Tommy. They were sealed with their family in the Idaho Falls Temple the 20th of March, 1971. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Tommy passed away. They have 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
She is survived by her 4 children, siblings, Barbara Christensen, Terry (Rea) Bell, Judy Scott, and Richard (Sharon) Bell. Surviving in-laws, Edna Smith, Shirley Warner, Hilda Wellard, Danny Wellard, Linda (Jerry) Chivers and Larry Tripp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Tommy, son Rusty, granddaughters Natalie Nestler Rapp and Amanda Wellard. Siblings Rhoda Rich, June Fowler, Leonard Bell, Kay Brower and Joyce Stone. In-laws Jim Wellard, Aleen Sorensen, Joyce Warner, Howard Wellard, Doris Liljenquist, Beverly Misner, and Hal Wellard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland 3rd Ward Chapel, (Butte & Hiskey).
The family will meet with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.and on Friday one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
