Bill came to get his eternal companion on June 17, 2016, NELLIE VIRGINIA ERWIN NUSSBAUM (94). After a 9-year separation, they are now happily reunited.
After marrying Bill, Nellie lived on a small farm that she and Bill had built from scratch in Tyhee, Idaho. There they raised their family of 6 daughters. For the last six and one half years she resided in Boise with her daughter, Susan Price.
Nellie came to live in Idaho after a difficult move from her beloved Ohio. As evidenced by the huge Buckeye tree in her front yard. Ohio was still her state of choice. She always cheered the Ohio State games on TV, and she was a loyal follower. She kept a cup of Ohio soil on her bedroom dresser.
After a few years of service in the Tyhee 7th Ward Primary Nellie joined the LDS Church and was sealed to her family in the Idaho Falls Temple. She continued her service in Primary, Relief Society Singing Mothers and was a faithful Visiting Teacher.
Giving was the hallmark of her life and the legacy she left for her family. In the evenings when she could finally sit down, out came her latest project. A rug, an afghan, a quilt, or a needlepoint would soon be out the door to bless a life. She was also a great cook and provided many meals and treats for friends. If you dropped in for a visit, she saw that you never left empty handed. She showered many with lots of candy.
She was welcomed by Bill and daughters Leslie Nussbaum and Patricia and son in-law Stephen Rowlands.
She will be missed by daughters Lyn Marley (Bill), Susan Price (Jim), Amber Liggett (Greg), and Lily Glascock (Kevin) as well as 14 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, and 2+ Great, Great Grandchildren.
She will be interred in Mountain View Cemetery on Thursday, June 23, 2016. A short service will be held at Manning Wheatley Funeral Chapel 510 N. 12th. Ave. Pocatello, Idaho at 11:00 AM.
