Neil R. Maberry

Neil R. Maberry, 65, died May 4, at home, the way he wanted. Neil’s neck was injured in an accident in Aug. 2003, and despite valiant efforts, he never recovered mobility. At the time of the accident Neil was manager of Classic Rock KMGI radio.
Oliver’s Restaurant fed Neil daily for the entire time he was homebound in a wheelchair. Oliver’s personnel, plus helpers from the Pocatello Rotary Club and the Presbyterian Church brought Neil his meals.
In the end it was Rotarians and an Angel from Oliver’s who tended him until Heritage Hospice became involved in the last few days.
Neil is survived by two daughters, Lena and Sarah, who he loved and missed very much. Neil also has two sisters, Irene Purcel, in Anderson, Indiana, and Norinne Clark in Astor, Florida.
A Celebration of Neil’s life will be held at 7 pm Tuesday May 10 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel 510 N. 12th Ave.
