Nadine Green Stuart, 88, longtime Pocatello and Tyhee resident passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, morning October 30, 2016.
She was born December 31, 1927 in Menan, Idaho a daughter of Philo Austin and Yeromia Cottle Green. She attended elementary school in Menan and later Pocatello High School where she graduated.
On August 24, 1945 she married Jordon K. Stuart in Chubbuck, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1946. She attended Idaho State University where she received her teachers aid certificate. She was a teacher aid and taught at Chubbuck Elementary for 25 years. She greatly loved the children she taught over those many years.
She enjoyed swimming and also liked going to the hot baths at Lava Hot Springs.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as she served as ward chorister, Primary teacher. Primary Librarian, Sunday School Teacher, and she and her husband Jordon were ward greeters for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Danny Ray (Joyce) Stuart, Meridian, Idaho; Jordon Paul Stuart, Pocatello; 3 daughters, Linda Nadine (Dennis) Bitton; Idaho Falls, Idaho; Marilyn Debra Stuart, Pocatello; Brenda Kay Stuart Caldwell, Idaho, a half brother, Philo Austin Green Jr., 2 half sisters, Linda Winkelman, Orem, Utah and Marsha from California . 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter D.J. Bitton
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Hall L.D.S. Ward Chapel (US Hwy 91 North).
The family will meet with friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel 510 N. 12th Ave. and Thursday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
