Muriel Louise Worthylake, 92, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at her home in McCammon surrounded by loving family on Sunday, September 15, 2013.
She was born Muriel Louise Robertson to Kenneth and Louise Robertson in Haverhill, New Hampshire, on July 7, 1921. She spent her school years in Vermont and Massachusetts and moved to California during World War II.
She met her husband Donald, a career Navy man, upon his return from North Africa in 1945. They married in San Diego, California on November 30, 1946.
She lived in many different places on the East and West coast as well as the Great Lakes area and other places around the world, where her husband's Naval Career took them. They moved from Pensacola, Florida, to McCammon, Idaho in 1976, where they have since resided for the past 37 years on Marsh Creek Road.
She was a skilled artist and teacher of oils, water colors and tole.
She is survived by her husband Donald, son Steven, daughter Kathleen and son Kenneth; four grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Natalie Crossen. She was preceded in death two sisters, Caroline, Sylvia; 1 brother, Charles; a grandson, Charles Spiegel.
At her request, she will be cremated. There will be no formal service or viewing. A family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
