Meredith Lynn Thomas

Meredith Lynn Thomas Pocatello - Meredith Lynn Thomas, 62, of Pocatello, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at her home following an extended illness. She was born April 25, 1944 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin a daughter of William D. and Harriet Beth Fullerton Johnson. She attended schools in West Allis, Wisconsin and graduated from West Allis Central High School. She attended one semester at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. In January 1963 she married Evan Evans, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They later divorced. She moved to Chicago, where she managed a high-rise apartment building. In June 1970 she married Ted Thomas, in Chicago. She was a convert to the L.D.S. Church. Their marraige was later solomnized in the temple. She moved to Pocatello in 1975 with her family and she and Ted later divorced. She owned and operated Sunshine Secretarial Services for some 18 years and was greatly respected in her field. She enjoyed gardening and reading. She was active in the L.D.S. Church and served in many capacities including, Primary, Young Womens and Relief Society. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Harriet Johnson, West Allis, Wisconsin; a son, Lewis Thomas, Pocatello; a daughter, Robin (Tim) Goddard, Chandler, Arizona; a brother, Eric (Terry) Johnson, Tampa, Florida; ex-husband, Ted Thomas, Pocatello; and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. with Bishop Daniel Rogers, of the Pocatello Fourth Ward officiating. Interment will be in the Mountainview Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday on hour prior to services.
