She was born in Burley, Idaho on October 15, 1935 to Samuel Mark and Thelma Ricks Stone. Maureen grew up in the Burley, View area and then her family moved to Pocatello, Idaho, when she was a teenager.
She married her soul mate and best friend, Paul Williams on March 29, 1957, in Pocatello, Idaho. They later were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 24, 1975. Maureen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in various callings, her favorite being a temple worker for 10 years at the Idaho Falls Temple.
Maureen had several different jobs: She worked at Art’s Cleaners, IB&T where she worked her way through the ranks as a loan officer, Dr. Bill Godfrey, and then almost finished out her career at the Clinic of Internal Medicine where she loved working for her doctors and considered them life long friends. After retirement at the age of 80, she was going stir crazy and decided to go to work at Costco as a sample lady, which she loved! After much persuasion from her daughters she officially retired at the age of 85. Maureen enjoyed going to ISU football and basketball games, she was an avid Bengal Booster. She also loved to garden and quilt.
