Matthew Robert Nate

Matthew Robert Nate, born December 28th, 1991, passed peacefully from this earth on August 1st, 2013 where he was greeted by his cousin Kallie, Great Grandparents Harold and Mary Read, Darrell and Betty Sorensen, Vera Nate, Aunt Susan Crystal, and many other family members waiting to welcome him to eternity.

Matthew is survived by his parents Melissa and Ryan Nate, and Jim (Kathy) Jensen; his favorite sister LaeLoni Nate; brothers Joshua and Nicholas Nate whom he cherished and with whom he loved spending time; brother Jesse Jensen with whom Matthew shared so many wonderful memories and whom also blessed Matt with a beautiful niece, Karma; Grandma Sandy Glick whom, Matt loved dearly and with whom he had such an amazing relationship; Grandpa Darrell, his rock, whom Matt loved so much and knew that Grandpa would listen to him, keep him safe and always love him; Grandma Mary, Grandpa Mitch, Uncle Rob, Uncle Tim (Dude), many cousins and great aunts and uncles.

Matthew heard and marched to the beat of the proverbial "different drummer". He was an individual who felt no need to be like everyone else. He loved skateboarding, tattoos, piercings, animals, camping, snowboarding, fishing, music, and fancied himself a bit of a ladies man. But his favorite lady was his momma, from whom he always wanted a snuggle even when he grew a foot taller than her.

In his 21 short years here, Matt touched a lot of people and a lot of lives. His laughter, loving ways, and too big heart will be so very much missed by those of us left behind. Enjoy your new home, Matt, and remember to leave a light on for the rest of us.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday August 5, 2013 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. with a viewing one hour prior to services. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens
