Pocatello- MaryLou Christen, 79, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, at a local care center where she had lived for the past six and a half years.

She was born December 18, 1931 at Vallejo, California, daughter of Lambert and Grace Hartill Craver.

She attended schools at Mount Baker, Washington. On July 25, 1947, she married Ike F. Christen. From 1952 to 1964, she and Ike were members of New Tribes Mission and served four years in Panama. They lived for thirty years in Mount Herman,California and moved to Pocatello in December 1990.

MaryLou was involved in Bible Study Fellowship, loved to sing and was involved in various singing groups. She loved reading and Bible study. She was a member of University Bible Church of Pocatello. Her family rejoices that she is now with the Lord.

MaryLou is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Deanna) Sutcliffe, Greshem, Oregon; Mrs. Gary (Yvonne) Signor , Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Gary (Suzanne) Dyck, Aptos, California; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ike, her parents and a brother.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at University Bible Church, 4700 Philbin Road, Pocatello, Idaho with Pastor Michael Powell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to : Friends in Action, Intl, USA, P.O. Box 323, Elizabethtown, PA, 17022 (a support group of New Tribes Missions).

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho.
