Marilyn R. Wright
Yerington, Nevada - Marilyn Rose Wright, 83, longtime resident of McCammon, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington, Nevada following an extended illness. She had been living in Yerington, Nevada for the last year with family due to illness.
She was born May 2, 1926 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Lawrence and Zelda M. Butler Dalton. She attended schools in Ogden,Utah and graduated from Ogden High School. On February 11, 1947, she married Chester Joey Wright in Ogden, Utah. Chester passed away November 14, 1998.
In 1959, they moved from Ogden, Utah to Pingree, Idaho where they farmed for a short time and then moved to Inkom, Idaho for a year prior to moving to McCammon in 1963 where they made their home.
She attended nursing school at Bannock Memorial Hospital in Pocatello where she received her LPN degree in 1965. She worked at Bannock Memorial Hospital on the cancer floor for the next 20 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing for family, crotcheting, yard work and quilting. She was a member of the Hill Top Riding Club where she served as secretary for many years. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Gerald J. (Mary) Wright, Yerington, Nevada; 2 daughters, Kathie J. (Allan) Christensen, Carlin, Nevada; Frankie (Mike) Woodby, Pocatello, Idaho; a son-in-law, Clark Neeser, McCammon, Idaho; 2 sisters, Vivian Strong, Clearfield, Utah; Zelda Nielsen, Huntsville, Utah; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Lavona Neeser, 3 sisters and a grandson, Jesse Neeser.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCammon, Idaho L.D.S. Stake Center with Bishop Ivan Bullock, of the McCammon Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and Wednesday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon. Funeral arrangments are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
