North Logan, Utah- Marilyn G. Bennett, age 69, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, following a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born Oct. 12, 1938, a daughter of Emil and Nellie McArthur Gubler in Santa Clara, Utah. She attended schools in Santa Clara and St. George, Utah. She graduated from Dixie High School.

She married Jesse Harland Bennett on Sept. 12, 1958, in the St. George Utah L.D.S. Temple. She received an associate degree from Dixie College and received her B.S. Degree in Office Administration from University of Utah. She has lived in Salt Lake City, St. Louis, and Maryland prior to coming to North Logan in 1983. She loved writing family histories. She wrote a book about family members spiritual experiences. She loved and greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jessie H. Bennett, North Logan, Utah; two daughters, Cheryl Bennett (Sharik) Peck, Richmond, Utah; Teresa Bennett Merrell, North Logan, Utah; a son, Scott Jesse (Brenda) Bennett, North Logan, Utah; nine brothers, Marion (Doris) Gubler, Glendale, California; Phillip (Helen) Gubler, San Jose, Calif.; Glen J. (Rachel) Gubler, St. George, Utah; Keith (MarshaLyn) Gubler, Santa Clara, Utah; Earl (Judi) Gubler, Murray, Utah; Ralph (Donna) Gubler, West Valley City, Utah; Marvin (Deanne) Gubler, South Jordan, Utah; Evan ( Myrta) Gubler, North Salt Lake, Utah; Kenneth ( Carol) Gubler, Marysville, Washington; two sisters, Evelyn Gubler (Royden) Christian, Salem, Utah; Venice Gubler Ward (Delmar) Harris, St. George, Utah; 16 grandchildren; She preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Loren Merrell; brother-in-law, Delbert Ward.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at 12 Noon at the North Logan 2nd Ward Chapel (2100 N. 1105 E.) in North Logan, Utah, with Bishop John Morrey officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the North Logan 2nd Ward Chapel and on Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho .
