McCammon- Lynn Ivan Bullock, 85, longtime resident of McCammon passed away at his home on Thursday July 1, 2010.

He was born on February 19, 1925 in Readyville, Idaho. He was the 8th of 10 sons born to Willard Edwin and Sarah Mabel Barrow Bullock and grew up and worked on the family farm. He attended school in Readyville and McCammon.

In 1943, he joined the armed services. He trained at Fort Hood,Texas and then went oversees to France and Germany. He returned home in 1945 when the war ended. Lynn married Una Crump on August 18th, 1947. They moved into a home on the family farm. Lynn helped his parents run the farm. He also worked as a carpenter for Rex Coffin and as a mechanic for Jenkins Implement in McCammon. He was a good mechanic and kept many farmers machinery running. Jenkins Implement closed in 1976. He then worked at Intrastate Diesel owned by his son Ivan for a couple of years. Lynn was happy to return to farming full time. He was active with the Marsh Valley Rodeo for many years. He was rodeo chairman in 1972 and 1973, a member of the Board of Directors in 1974, and Rodeo Chairman in 1975 and 1976. He enjoyed working with his horses.

His health problems gradually forced him to turn the farm over to his sons, but he continued to live on the farm he loved. The family is very appreciative of the care given by Hospice Alliance during these past months.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 63 years, Una; sons, Ivan (Beverly) Bullock , Charles (Penny) Bullock, Michael (Susan) Bullock, and Jon Bullock; daughter, Jennie (Gary) Ratliff; brother, Stanley E. Bullock (Louise) 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Stephen, his parents, and eight brothers, Edwin, Milton, Glen, Thomas, Clyde, Claude, Leo, and Willard Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCammon LDS Stake Chapel with Bishop Peri Thomas of the Marsh Creek Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery with military rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel
