Lyman D Taylor

Lyman D Taylor, 75, passed away February 20, 2016. He was born on November 27, 1940 to Leonard and Mabel Taylor in Boise, Idaho. As a small child he learned to fix things, which he did all of his life. He had a bread route from age 14 until graduating from high school. He played football earning Idaho State AllStar, and played one year of football for BYU before marrying his high school sweetheart {Gail} on December 4, 1959 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He had a Journeyman in HVAC and was an expert in his craft. He was active in the LDS Church, serving faithfully as teacher, scout leader, bishopric counselor, bishop, and high councilor. He worked hard and loved to do it. He taught this to his family. He loved to sing and whistle. He “whistled while he worked.” He taught by example what character and integrity were. He was deeply honest, and never said an untruth in his life. His deep belief in his Savior, his commitment to his family and country were the foundation of whom he was. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Cornell D Taylor.
