Linda Arlene Rossmiller Johnson, of McCammon passed on September 3, surrounded by family. She fought a 6 year battle of lung cancer with courage and was an example to all.

Linda was born in Great Falls, Montana. The oldest daughter of Ernest and Mary Ellen Rossmiller. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1971. She studied geological engineering at Montana College of Mineral Sciences & Technology in Butte, Montana.

In April 1974, she married Wendell Eyre Johnson. Together they started his working career in Montana, moved to Nevada, and landed in Idaho in 1977.

Linda was active in the community in Soda Springs as they raised their 3 children.  She served in the PTO, a cook, and a jeweler. She was a school board member and was an integral part in passing the election bond to build Tigert Middle School.

Linda loved the land and was most happy out in nature gardening, fishing, camping, rock hunting, motorcycling, geocaching, going on native plant walks, and just being with her husband, kids, and grandkids.

Linda had a giving and kind heart. She never let anyone leave her home without a little treat, jam, jelly, or flowers.

Linda was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was baptized by Wendell.  She was active in the church with a strong testimony of the gospel. She enjoyed spending time working on family history. She gave color to the pulpit in the chapel each Sunday by bringing flowers to Sacrament meeting then would give them to ward member.

She is survived by her mother Mary Ellen Kearns Rossmiller; children Sarah and husband Jeremy Olsen of Arizona City AZ, Eric and wife Jeremy Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID, Mary Ann Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; 4 Grandchildren; brother William (Bill) Rossmiller of Harper KS, and sister Mary Lou Myers of Spokane WA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, father, and brother Dennis.

Funeral Services will be on Friday September 8, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. with a viewing starting at 11:00 A.M. at the McCammon LDS stake center 403 W 16 St McCammon ID. Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
