Linda Jane Chavez

Pocatello - Linda Jane Chavez, 56, of Pocatello, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born February 1, 1951 in Pocatello a daughter of Lyman Eugene and Efveline J. Berwell Johnson. She attended schools in Pocatello and Portland, Oregon where she graduated from high school. She moved back to Pocatello several years ago. On August 15, 1999 she married Subiano Chevez in American Falls, Idaho. He passed away May 14, 2004. She attended the Rocky Mountain Ministries Church. She never had children of her own but she loved children and was always surrounded by her young neices, nephews and children friends. She liked attending church and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include: her mother, Eveline J. Johnson, Pocatello; a brother, Leslie A. (Jettie) Johnson, a sister, Barbara Rae (Roy) McClung, all of Portland, Oregon and many neices, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, Johnny E. Johnson and George C. Johnson. Memorial funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Ministries Church, 845 Hyde Ave. with Pastor Scott L. Sampson, offficiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
