Lavona May Neeser McCammon - Lavona May Neeser, 55, longtime resident of McCammon, passed away early Sunday, March 29, 2009 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer with her loving husband by her side.

She was born May 13, 1953 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Chester J. and Marilyn Rose Dalton Wright.

She lived in Ogden, Utah until she was 5 years old and then her family moved to Pingree, Idaho where her father farmed. Her family moved to Inkom and later to McCammon where she resided until her passing. She attended schools in Pingree, Inkom, McCammon and graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1971.

She married Clark H. Neeser on June 16, 1972 in McCammon, Idaho. They had two children, Jesse and Tina.

She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She also belonged to a women's card club which she greatly enjoyed with her friends. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, spending time with her grand-kids, riding horses, antiquing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, gardening, fishing and hunting. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Clark H. Neeser, McCammon, Idaho; her mother, Marilyn Wright, Yerington, Nevada; a daughter, Tina (Kevin) Summers, Shelley, Idaho; a brother, Gerald (Mary) Wright Yerington, Nevada; sisters, Frankie (Mike) Woodby, Pocatello, Idaho; Kathy (Allan) Christensen, Carlin, Nevada. 2 grandchildren Austin and Destin Summers, Shelley, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her son Jesse Neeser, her father, Chester Wright, her father and mother in-law, Fred and Zella Neeser.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, with Bishop Roger Morris of the Mountainview Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. in Pocatello.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel. Lavona's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all the many friends and family members who have been so kind and thoughtful.
