It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad Kenneth W. Richardson. Kenny slipped away peacefully Dec.28 ,2020 in Twin Falls ,ID. He was born July 23,1930 in Pocatello,Id to Willis W. and Lucy Mae Crane Richardson Kenny grew up in Inkom and graduated from Inkom High School in 1949. He married Gwen VanSickle January 25,1951 and they settled in Inkom,in the home that he built, and raised their 5 children. They later divorced.
Kenny retired from Marsh Valley School District in1987 after 30 years of service. He married Joyce Randolph in 1988 and together they owned and operated Whistle Stop Antiques in Inkom,until her passing in Nov.1996.Kenny enjoyed fishing in the creeks and hunting in the mountains of Inkom.He also enjoyed treasure hunting for antiques and had a love of gold panning and metal detecting, which he instilled in his sons and grandsons. He was also a talented gunsmith. Many of his guns have been passed down to his children and grandchildren and will be a legacy through many generations.
Kenny moved to Twin Falls ,Id in 2000 to be closer to family. where he enjoyed his weekly trips to Jackpot to play poker (another love he instilled in his sons and grandsons). Also his time at Twin Falls senior center where he made many friends and served on the Board of Directors. After a severe bout with pneumonia in 2018 he decided it was time to move to assisted living and spend his final years at Bridgeview estates and Grace assisted living.
We have many wonderful memories of our dad. Darin and Sheila are forever grateful that they were able to spend his last hours with him. Kenny is survived by his children : Darin Richardson ,Twin falls Sheila (Robert) Hardcastle ,Hagerman Debbie Denton Hailey, his "other daughter" Julie Thompson Salt Lake.11 grandchildren ,16 great grandchildren , 3 great- great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents , brother Norman , wife Joyce , ex-wife Gwen , son Jay, daughter Linda and beloved grandson Nathan Wheeler.
