Pocatello - June Verona Treasure Frugoli, 89, longtime resident of Pocatello, passed away Wednesday, evening January 7, 2008 at a local care and rehab center following an illness.

June was born February 28, 1919 in McCammon, Idaho, a daughter of William and Romana Hortensia Green Treasure. She grew up on a farm with her parents and her sisters Gwen and Virginia and her brothers Jean and Dave. She spent many hours with her Grandma Green, including skipping school to be with her. She attended schools in McCammon.

On October 21, 1940 she married George Frugoli, in Pocatello, Idaho They never had any children. She worked at the Pocatello General Hospital in the kitchen for a few years and then was a homemaker the rest of her life. Her husband George, passed away December 20, 1985.

Her favorite place to travel was New York City. She and George rode the train to Cincinnati, Boston and Portland. June enjoyed music and her favorite singer was Engle Burt Humperdinck. She had all of his albums. June liked to sing, watch Lawrence Welk and read magazines. She had beautiful rose bushes (100) and enjoyed working in her yard until she broke her hip. She received the Golden Arrow Award twice for her nice yard. She loved being in her yard trimming her roses and mowing her lawn. She even used a hand push mower.

June enjoyed walking and in her younger years she walked all over Pocatello. She would walk from her home on Packard to the Westwood Mall. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church. She enjoyed spending time with her brother Dave and her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include: 2 brothers, William Jean (Mary Alene) Treasure, Pocatello and Dave Treasure, Chubbuck, Idaho, a sister Gwen Campanello, Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister Virginia Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. with Bishop Rod Johnson, of the Cedar Second Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Mountainveiw Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
