Joseph Milo Chatterton

Chubbuck - Joseph Milo Chatterton, 94, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Whispering Pines Care Center. The family wishes to thank the staff from the Whispering Pines Care Center and Creekside Hospice who took such good care of him.

Joe was born on November 13, 1914, in Franklin, Idaho, the son of Aaron James Chatterton and Sarah Louise Jensen Chatterton.

He married Anna Laura Allphin on March 15, 1944, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were later divorced.

Joe worked in farming and construction most of his life but also owned a small grocery store in Lovell, Wyoming and also in Montpelier, Idaho. He loved working with animals and farming. He has worked hard all his life.

He is survived by four sons and two daughters, Stephen (Carol) Chatterton, Pocatello, Idaho; Lynn (Nancy) Chatterton, Murray, Utah; Jo Ann (Bill) Burgi, Orem, Utah; Cheri (Denton) Parker, Pocatello, Idaho; Deon (Melodee) Chatterton, Livermore, California; Dale (Sharene) Chatterton, Centennial, Colorado; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his loving parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and two sweet granddaughters.

Private family graveside service and interment will be held at the Mountainview Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho.
