Jose R. Acosta (64) unexpectedly passed away on November 30th, 2023.

He was born to Jose and Wanda Acosta. In Pocatello, Idaho on September 28th, 1959. Joe was the fifth of seven children. Susana Ramos, Teodore (Ted) Acosta(Inez), Jose (Pepe) Acosta, Jesus (Jessie) Acosta, Amaila (Molly) Florez, and Antonio (Tony) Acosta. Joe spent his younger years playing and performing music with his father and brothers, which continued throughout his life. Joe played the bass guitar, drums, harmonica, accordion, and many other instruments. Joe was a jack of all trades working mainly in remodeling, landscaping, and construction. 

Jose worked hard all his life. But made sure there was time for music, fun, and laughter. He was the life of the party and his presence was profoundly known. Jose was a fighter previously beating Leukemia. You could find Joe cruising around town with his husky, Duke. Joe will forever be missed but never forgotten. 

Jose was survived by his son Jose "Speedy" Acosta and preceeded in death by son Abraham Acosta. Long time partner, Angelina Flores. Daughters, Lynette Gonzalez, Ruby Malloy, Angelica (Michael) Rosales, Rosie (Bronson) Edwards. Grandchildren Delilah, Kaydense, Allison and Cruz. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

"I'm the light bulb that cant be turned off. I'm still shining watching over you all. I'm the brightest North star. Watch out 4 me. When your sad or blessed. I'll be there".

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
