On Monday, August 27, 2018 John Thomas Kohli passed away quickly and quietly ending his suffering from a long and painful illness.
John was born July 19, 1951 in Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio, the son of John Peter and Virginia Carol Smith Kohli.
In high school, he trained as a typesetter and printer. He joined the U.S.A. Airforce at the age of 19, where he continued to work in printing at Langley Air Force Base in Newport, Virginia. John also served in the Utah National Guard as a water treatment specialist, helping to engineer portable water tanks and systems during the Iraq war to provide clean water and sanitation to the troops.
John is survived by his wife, Angela Cardon Kohli, Pocatello; two sisters, Kay Rable (George) Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Virginia Carol Blanton (Bob) Tallahassee, Florida; four nieces, Anne, Katy, Elise, and Taylor.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and his step son David Kemmerer.
A viewing will be Tuesday evening September 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Caldwell Park Chapel with Bishop Jerry Meyers officiating.
Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery at 3:00 pm with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
