Pocatello- Jo Ann King Johnson, 74, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at a local care center following an illness.

She was born May 8, 1936 in Terreton, Idaho, the daughter of Cleo and Ruby Pearl Schoaf Smith. The family moved to Pocatello in 1944, where she attended Pocatello schools.

She married Jack D. Wright on Dec. 23, 1952. They had four children. They later divorced. She married Joseph Edward King and adopted her children. Joseph passed away in 1969. She married Victor M. Johnson in 1973 in Inkom, Idaho.They loved traveling,camping, fishing and painting. They also enjoyed the Wood Carving Club, where she had been the president a few times. Victor passed away in June 2002. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church.

Jo Ann is survived by her special companion, Robert A. Grant, Pocatello; two sons, Robert Allen (Sonja) King, Blackfoot, Idaho; Terrance Scott King, Pocatello, Idaho; one daughter, Kathy J. (Gary) Cliff, Boise, Idaho; one adopted brother, Denny LaVar Cox Smith, Akron, PA.; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 1 son, Jack D. King, 1 adopted son, Terry L. Johnson, 4 brothers, 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pocatello 52nd Ward Chapel, (1700 Kinghorn) with Bishop's counselor Derold Bates officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
