Pocatello - Jeremy Eugene Hawk, 35, lifelong resident of Pocatello, passed away early Tuesday, September 11, 2007. He was born February 21, 1972 in Pocatello, a son of Richard (Rick) and Shirley Ellsworth Hawk. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He then received his Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology and his Masters Degree in Biology from Idaho State University. He was a Christian and taught question and answer sessions of Creation Science at Rocky Mountain Ministries in Pocatello, where he also worked at the coffee bar. He had worked as a microbiologist in food safety at Global Food for several years and was employed at Great Western Malting at the time of his passing.

On December 15, 2001, he married DeAnna Mellinger in Pocatello. He enjoyed fly fishing, ice fishing, mountain biking, hiking and collecting reptiles.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include: his wife DeAnna, two sons, Jett and Zachery; his parents, Richard (Rick) and Shirley Hawk; two brothers, Nicholas and William, all of Pocatello; grandparents, Erna and Ed Ellsworth, Pocatello; Richard and Dorothy Hawk, San Jose, California. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Sam.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Ministries Church 845 Hyde Ave. with Pastor Scott L. Sampson, officiating. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
