Jennette "Jenny" Williams Avery

Jenny Williams Avery, 73, passed away Saturday August 6, 2016 from complications following a heart attack in Grand Junction Colorado. She was born March 21, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Allison and Alice Gabrielson Williams.

Jenny attended early elementary schooling in Inkom, Idaho, then continued her early education in Pocatello, then she attended Marsh Valley High School, where she graduated in 1961. She married the love of her life and classmate Ray G. Avery on October 25, 1963 in Inkom, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Jenny’s interest included sewing, knitting, and tying rugs, hiking, motor bike riding, camping, but mostly spending time with family and her grandkids. Ray was the camp ground manager in Crested Butte Colorado and Jenny was camp host at Cement Creek. Their regular residence has been in Mesa, Arizona for several years.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Ray; a son, Shawn (Chris) Avery, Meridian, Idaho; a daughter, Tonya Avery, Nampa, Idaho; 3 brothers, Johnny (Joyce) Williams; Dean (Susan) Williams; Lamar (Kathy) Williams. 3 sisters, Ramona Cornielson; Alice Fae (Rod) Cornell; Melinda (Kenny) Slack. 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Randall James Avery, a sister and her father-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Fairway L.D.S. Chapel (2000 South Fairway Drive) at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends Friday evening August 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery, Idaho at 3:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
