James R. Weimer

On August 25, 2020 our dearest friend, father, grandfather, husband, teacher, neighbor, brother and hero James Robert Weimer, 76 of McCammon Idaho passed away at Portneuf Medical Center. Born April 8th 1944 in Rupert Idaho to David and Della Weimer the youngest of 12 children.

Jim went to Minidoka high school, graduated class of 1962. But in 1959 in high school he met Glenda in the grade above him. He didn’t know it at the time but she would become the most important person in his life. After school Jim jointed the navy in 1963 where he would stay until 1967 when he joined the reserves, and went to the College of Southern Idaho. Glenda also attended CSI and the two would eventually start dating and on July 17th 1970 they were married. Jim was the training director for the IBEW and an electrician for almost his entire life.

He was a kind and wise man that often made jollies and usually had good advice but always loved his family. James Robert Weimer is loved and survived by his sweet wife Glenda, his sons Scott and David, his daughters Karie and Trina. Brother’s John and Don, sisters Jane and Lorraine and his seven grandchildren. “Due to covid we would like everyone to wear masks to the celebration of life”
