Inkom- James L. Chandler, 58, passed away Tuesday evening November 6, 2012 at Portneuf Medial Center.
He was born August 26, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Orsen James and Margaret Ann Christensen Chandler.
He attended schools in Inkom, Idaho. He attended Marsh Valley High School and graduated from Highland High School in the Class of 1972.
He married Audrey Capell in Inkom, Idaho on March 10, 1989.
He worked at Lamb-Weston, B.E., Prudential Insurance, and Mutual Insurance. He loved baseball and coached American Legion Baseball at Marsh Valley, then Marsh Falls Team which included American Falls. He also coached several Little League teams and All-Stars teams. He enjoyed football, golfing and watching Nascar. He was a member of the Gate City Rotary Club for many years.
The family would like to express great appreciation to DiAnn Moir for donating her kidney in 2008 to James and extending his life several years.
James is survived by his wife, Audrey M. Chandler, Inkom; son, Randy James (Sarah) Chandler, Boise, Idaho; daughter, Shaunna (Brent) Chandler Loveland, Burbank, Washington; brother Jeff (Judy) Martin; Inkom, Idaho; father-in-law, Reed Capell, Pocatello, Idaho; 2 grandchildren, Braden Loveland, Trevyn Loveland; special friends, Vern Nelson, Joel Jolley; and all his baseball family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Taisha Loveland, mother-in-law, Nola Capell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Inkom L.D. S. Chapel (Rapid Creek) with Bishop Dustin Young of the Inkom Ward officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
