On June 27, 2024, Ida Louise Romriell Bullock departed from her husband Stanley Bullock, and was reunited with family and dear friends who rejoiced when she joined them in what may be called Heaven. We will miss her but know the joy she must feel joined again with parents, daughter Lou Ann, ancestors, with many friends and other members of her earthly family.
She was born on September 7, 1930 to George Chester Romriell and Ida Belle Chandler in McCammon Idaho. She was the youngest of three sisters and a brother: Gladys Brown, Wanda Rooksby, Lenna Albiston and Calvin Romriell. Her childhood was filled with activity in McCammon located in Marsh Valley where she attended school, enjoyed sports, dances, music and playing in the outdoors. She was her daddy’s little girl on the small farm south of town raising all kinds of fruit, vegetables, bees, and farm animals including foxes.
After graduation, she married one of the “Bullock” boys as her mother described, recently celebrating 75 years of marriage to Stanley Bullock. They were married and sealed in the Idaho Falls temple and served faithfully in temples all their lives. Soon a little girl named Lou Ann brightened their life, followed by four energetic younger brothers named Kenneth, David, Alan, and Dean. They were forced to get along since most of the houses they lived in were modest yet comfortable.
She worked hard along with her lifelong companion making the best of hard times. She baked, sewed, gardened, sold a little Avon, along with playing games of “kick the can” and” Beckon, Beckon”. There was not much on Television and no electronic devices to be entertained with in those years.
Stan and Louise were active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and the community. They served in Cub Scouts, school PTO’s, numerous ward and stake positions throughout their life. In later years they served missions in Virginia and New York. Many neighbors, friends, and those in need received loaves of bread and acts of kindness from the kitchen of their home. They loved sitting in their front yard watching the “comings and goings” of McCammon. Both Louise and Stanley loved music as they sang, danced, and played in dance bands until youth gave way to the golden years.
They have watched their loved ones depart from this life including their parents, siblings, daughter and dear friends. They have remained interested in their surviving family which include sons, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mom knew their names, birthdays, and other activities to the end.
Her family and husband will miss her, but know she will be anxiously waiting for her loving devoted husband to join her and make a heavenly home for all the rest of her family. She believed “Families can be Together Forever”. She is loved and will be missed.
Thanks to all who have made her past few years with husband Stanley memorable, comfortable, and accessible, for all of her family and friends to enjoy.
