Glenda Lynn Hughes

Glenda Brooks Hughes, 68, passed away, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at home in Pocatello, peacefully with her daughter Tamara Green at her side.

Glenda was born in Pocatello, Idaho, January 15, 1947, the daughter of Glenn and Phontella Parsons Brooks. She grew up in Pocatello and attended Pocatello High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Idaho State University. She most recently was employed at J.R. Simplot Company.

She was a very free spirited lady. She enjoyed Rock Hounding and camping with her family. She loved the out of doors and enjoyed spending time with her cats.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Tamara Green, Pocatello, Idaho; Tina Carter, Phoenix, Arizona; a son, Jason Hughes, Pocatello, Idaho; her grandchildren, Robert Lish, Jonathan Henery, Angel Jensen, Carter, Julia, and Michael Hughes. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Glenda's family wishes to express their gratitude to the close friends, nurses and family that cared so lovingly for her as she fought a courageous battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening February 25th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Funeral services will be held following the viewing time. Any long distance or estranged family members and friends are welcome to come pay their condolences.
