Pocatello - Gail Ann Breen, 79, a lifelong resident of Pocatello, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2011 at a local assisted living center.

She was born October 3, 1931 in Pocatello, a daughter of Thomas Stanley and Hattie Ann Jordan Richardson.

As a young girl, she attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. She worked a J.J. Newberry's for several years. She worked there prior to her marriage and following helping save money to buy their first home. On March 20, 1951, she married Donald Eugene Breen in Blackfoot, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Gail later worked several years at Z.C.M.I., but she liked being a homemaker and caring for her family.

She liked crocheting, rug hook, gardening, cooking, baking, camping and fishing. She always enjoyed family gatherings and being with her children and grandchildren. She was active in the L.D.S. Church and had served in many callings during her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Eugene Breen, of Pocatello, Idaho; 3 sons, David Thomas Breen, Mountain Home, Idaho; Dan Eugene (Kat) Breen, Pocatello, Idaho; Paul Gail (Lorie) Breen, Jerome, Idaho; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Donann, 3 brothers, Rex, Max and Stan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. West Stake Center (corner of Hawthorne Road and West Eldredge) with Bishop Rojelio Campos, of the Eighteenth Ward officiating. Interment will be in the Mountainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Monday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Gails family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to Access Hospice and Ridgewind Assisted Living for the special care of our wife, mother and grandmother.
