Francisco Julian Medina

Age 34, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2024, in Malad, Idaho Francisco succumbed to his injuries in a fatal accident.

Francisco was known for his vivacious spirit, and was always the life of the party, bringing laughter to those around him with his quirky jokes. He had a deep love for football, cheering passionately for the Dallas Cowboys, and was equally enthusiastic about basketball and fishing. His smile was big, and his laugh was contagious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Francisco's greatest pride and joy was his son, Estevan Koa Medina, age 3 (Shantel Martin). One of Estevan’s favorite moments was running into his daddy's open arms, greeted by Francisco’s huge smile and hearty laugh. Estevan will miss his daddy’s singing and the special shoulder rides they shared.

Francisco is survived by his loving mother, Gloria Perez (Ricardo Perez), and his father, Pete Medina. He also leaves behind his brothers, Anthony Valadez (Holly Valadez), Roberto Perez, and his sister, Shannell Hernandez (Jose Carrillo). His grandparents, Linda and Reyes Trujillo, as well as many cousins, nephews, and friends, mourn his loss.

Francisco, lovingly called "Jr" by many, didn’t only love his son—he extended his love his stepchildren Toka and Oma, who he cared for as his own. Shantel, the mother of his son, shares these heartfelt words: "Jr was the best father my children could have. I will always love and miss him deeply."

Francisco will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter, his love for his family, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be missed by many, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace our dear "Jr".

A celebration of life to be announced in the upcoming days via Gloria Perez Facebook page.
