Evelyn Rose Fisher Adams, 96, passed away December 1st, 2023 in Pocatello, Idaho. She had been living at Rosetta Assisted Living just shy of 2 months enjoying the company of her new friends. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Evelyn was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1926 to Alma & Martha “Pearl” (Baker) Fisher in Ririe, Idaho. She met her 1st husband Noble Marion Lindley when he came to work for her father on their farm in Ririe. They had one son, Noble Marlin Lindley.
After moving to Pocatello she met and married Jack Kellow. They had 2 children: Thomas Craig Kellow and Kristina “Tina” Ann Kellow. She raised her children in Pocatello working several different jobs: Bangs Office Products, Montgomery Wards, and Intermountain Gas. Later in retirement she worked evenings as a hotel desk clerk in Price, Utah. She loved meeting all the travelers! She loved being with others…the more the merrier!
She moved to Price, Utah after marrying Elias “Bill” Adams in April of 1973. Sadly she lost him to cancer November 1976. She continued to live in Utah until 1985 when she returned to her home in Pocatello which she has owned since 1957.
Evelyn was a very social person enjoying time with her family, birth family, and many friends. She loved to go dancing, to restaurants, on picnics, playing in card groups, go on trips, etc. At the Senior Center she hosted a table for cards once a week for years. She had lunch & played cards at North’s Chuck Wagon and at Golden Corral for many years. She always had jokes in her purse ready for you to read upon saying hello. She was already laughing while you were reading the joke/s! Later in her years she enjoyed having family over for a meal out and/or cards at home. She looked forward to family gatherings and parties. Evelyn loved to travel with friends. She had a friend, Martin Tauscher, whom she traveled with for 10+ years until he passed in 1999. They traveled to all but the 13 colony states which they had planned for the year 2000.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, all 13 siblings (Alma “Hiles”, John “Floyd”, James “Ray”, Eldon, Esther “Lavon”, Golda, Bill, Opal, Lola, Orval, Hazel, Helen, and Geneva), many nieces/nephews, 3 husbands (1 widowed), her 3 children Noble, Tommy & Tina, grandson Brandon Ori (Tina mother), great grandson Michael “Jake” Neff (Noble grandfather), daughter-in-law Sondra Smith Lindley, former son-in-law Louis Ori and most all of her friends - lifelong and later in life. She would say, “I out lived them all!”
Evelyn left behind a very large legacy being survived by 6 grandchildren: Dove Lindley Fowler (Don), Noble “Mike” Lindley (Crystal), Scott Lindley (Amy), David Lindley (Candice), Erika Ori (Brenda) and Chris Ori (Frankie). 17 great grandchildren: Ryan Rodriguez (Angelica), Sara Jardin (Chris), Tayler Fowler, Natalie Balderas-Fowler (Roberto), Matthew Lindley, Brady Lindley, Joshua Lindley (Ashley), Jordan Lindley (Aayla), Jacqueline Lindley (Tucker), Jarett Lindley (Andie), Timothy Starr, Patience Andrews, Mya Ori, Mason Ori, Myles Ori. Rylee Ori, and Jax Gentry. 6 great-great grandchildren: Ayla, Parker, Ozzie, Indigo, Marley and Ellis. Also former daughter-in-law Sue Lindley, former son-in-law Seth Chiaretta, and Noble’s lifelong child hood friend Robert Stites.
