Marcell Clark Wanner passed away Friday July 12, 2013 at her home. She was born December 29, 1922 in Newdale, Idaho, the daughter of William Keith and Sarah Ellen Long Clark.

She attended schools in Black Pine and Inkom Idaho. She obtained her GED when she was 60 years old. She lived in Blackrock then Inkom, Idaho since 1948.

She married Samuel W. Wanner on August 28, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. Sam passed away on August 4, 1988.

She was a correspondent for the Idaho State Journal and worked in the hot lunch program at Inkom Elementary school. She was the first woman to serve on the Inkom City Council and served for eight years.

Marcell was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President, in the Y.W.M.I.A., a Sunday School teacher, and in a Primary presidency. She served a mission in Dallas, Texas from 1991 to 1992.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing and traveling worldwide. She loving enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Marcell is survived by her two sons, David J. (Nancy) Wanner, Preston, Idaho; Clark W. (Wendy) Wanner, Inkom, Idaho; three daughters, Janice Poppleton, Inkom, Idaho; MaRee (Allen) Parker, Rock Spring, Wyoming; LaRee (Mike) Andreasen, Syracuse, Utah; four sisters, Louise Schwendiman, Newdale, Idaho; Elaine Cobia, McCammon, Idaho; Bonnie (Clinton) Groll, Providence, Utah; Dorothy Clayton, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Marilyn, three brothers, two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Inkom L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Dustin Young officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, July 17, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Inkom L.D.S. Chapel in Inkom, Idaho and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
